2025 Dunlichity Cup Heat 3 Results

13 anglers competed in the third heat of this year's Dunlichity Cup.  Although damp, the weather was not nearly as bad as some forecasts had predicted, and spirits were raised courtesy of cakes kindly provided by Jamie and Dean.

This two-fish format heat started well, with Jamie Macgregor Snr taking a 5lb 3oz fish on the first peg, with Gordon Haggart bagging a 4lb 9oz fish and Allan Dallas taking a 4lb 3oz fish.

Three more 4lb+ were taken during the competition, with a number of competitors also losing big fish before they could be netted.

Jamie MacGregor Snr won the heat with a cumulative weight of 7lb 10oz, with Scott Young second by an ounce with 5lb 15oz with Jim Dick third.

After three heats, Jamie MacGregor Snr leads on 26 points, followed by Alan McMurchy on 20 and Graham Matheson on 19.

The 4th heat of this year's competition is on Saturday 19 July at 09.00 and will be a three-fish measured format.
