2012 Dunlichity Cup Heat 5

14 competitors arrived on a bright Saturday morning.  Three new competitors joined the group -  Darren Skinner, Dave Longmuir and Michael Kerr.

In spite of the early bright conditions, three competitors had taken their two fish bag before the break.  The heat winner was James Gray, with a bag of 6lb 12oz.  Newcomer Dave Longmuir was second with 6lb 4oz and third was Graham Matheson with 5lb 4oz.  Darren Skinner won the bottle on countback from Magnus Macdonald.

In terms of the overall league positions, Bill Greig's absence due to work commitments meant Colin Keith consolidated his position at the top of the leaderboard.  Big movers were James Gray (up 5 places) and Graham Matheson (up 9 places).

The next heat is on Saturday 6th October.

August saw some challenging weather conditions at Dunlichity, with the situation changing on almost an hourly basis!  In spite of this, some outstanding fishing was available, with the Lochans receiving two stockings during the month.

The month's Troutmaster winner was Robert Boyes from Paisley with a fish of 11lb 8oz.  Dean Geddes was runner-up with a fish of 7lb 14oz.  A number of 8lb+ fish were also returned.

Performance of the month goes to Sean Cowan who caught 63 fish over 3 visits.  Other big hauls included:
Roger Roberts (Orkney) - 14
John Allison - 12
George Skinner - 12
George Noble - 12
Glen Beaton - 12
David Skinner - 11
Sandy Richie - 11
