We have had a heavy overnight snowfall and with more snow forecast today, the fishery has remained closed.

Sunday 6 March - Fishery Update

At 8.00 am this morning, there was ice on the bottom lochan and about a third of the top lochan had a thin layer of ice. Given the higher temperatures forecast today, we anticipate that the ice will burn off throughout the morning so have remained open.

By 10.00am, 3/4 of the top lochan had cleared and the bottom continues to thaw, so we have reopened. Anglers already on the bank!

Tuesday 22 February- Fishery Reopens

The lochans have now thawed and the fishery has reopened. As a result of the snow melt, the banks are very wet and slippery, so care must be taken when near the lochans.

The water filter in the bothy has been repaired and the toilet has reopened.

Deep snow and ice have meant that we are unable to open the Fishery today.
