Coronavirus (Covid-19) Update

Given the current global situation regarding Coronavirus, we have been reviewing our operation at Dunlichity.  We are taking the current situation regarding Covid-19 very seriously, and we would like all our visitors to do the same.

We remain open for business and consider the risk to anglers to be minimal once they are out fishing.  However, there are precautions we will all need to take:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Please do not bring children or non-fishing guests to the Fishery with you.  The Fishery is restricted to anglers only.

Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently with soap and water, and where this is not available, please use hand sanitiser.  We cannot guarantee stocks of sanitiser, so please bring your own with you.

For safety reasons, we are ceasing the provision of complimentary tea, coffee, and juices.  Please bring your own refreshments with you.

Throughout each day, we will be spraying all common contact points (eg door handles, toilet handle, taps etc) with an anti-bacterial spray on a regular basis.  Towels will be replaced with disposable paper towel roll.

Please do not visit the Fishery if you have developed a persistent dry cough, a sore throat or a fever (a temperature higher than 37.8 C/100 F) - stay at home until you are well.

Try to bring the correct money with you for your fishing ticket, so the booking process interaction can be minimised.

Please avoid gathering inside the Bothy, even in small groups.  The same is appropriate on the banks ("2 metre personal exclusion zone").
------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have received guidance from Troutmaster regarding the forthcoming Fish Off, and have decided to postpone the Fish Off until later in the year.  We will contact all participants once we have a revised date, but it will not be until August at the earliest.  We have also decided that it is inadvisable to continue with this year's Dunlichity Cup.  If possible, a shorter version of the Dunlichity Cup will be held later in the year.

In light of the impact of the current situation on stocking prices, we also need to increase the price of the first fish taken from £2 to £4.  We will update the website and the bothy posters accordingly.  Catch and Release tickets remain unaltered.

We sincerely believe that fly-fishing can continue to operate providing everyone shows common-sense and follows the basic precautions outlined above.  Indeed, being out in the fresh air will probably benefit most people over the coming months.

We appreciate that this is an unprecedented situation and that for the coming period our lives will be disrupted, but please be sensible, respect others, and enjoy fly-fishing at Dunlichity safely.
