The Fishery was pleased to welcome four new guests over the past few days.
Andy, Pierre, Ash and Neale, who travelled up from the Nuneaton and Hinckley area stayed in the B&B in what was their first group fly-fishing trip. Whilst Pierre had some fly-fishing experience, Ash had only course fishing experience and Andy and Neale were complete beginners.

Andy, Neale, Pierre and Ash on the Top Lochan
Prior to the trip, they spent time on casting lessons and all tied a selection of their own flies before the trip!
Although they did manage to visit Fort George, Culloden, Inverness, Tomatin and Loch Ness, they spent from early morning to late at night on the lochans. Their efforts paid off and they all caught fish. They also spent time with a number of our regular anglers, who kindly passed on tips and advice.
It was clear to see from their expressions on their last morning, that they were well and truly "hooked"!

Mike, do you provide instrution for beginners or, do you leave it to the locals to help the visitors into the sport?
Ash;- Would just like to thank Mike & Karen for the best four day fishing and sigh seeing I have had in a long time. The fishery is second to none and all the fish caught were fighters. The B&B is first class, clean, homely and welcoming. Could not ask for better hosts, as nothing was too much trouble. Thanks again and look forward to coming again.
Ash
It was great to have you guys stay and we are really pleased that you had such a good time.
Gordon
We can arrange a qualified instructor for beginners requiring lessons, but the regulars are really good at encouraging beginners with tips, suggestions and even the odd fly!
